Newsflash: Chris Evans is Captain America by @destroytheearth

Various news sources, including the ever-reliable Empire Magazine, have confirmed rumours that Chris Evans has accepted the offer to play Captain America in both the upcoming solo movie and the Avengers team-up to follow.

I have my doubts; not because I dislike Evans, I think he was fantastic in Push, was the best thing about the Fantastic Four films and he showed his acting chops in Danny Boyle's Sunshine; but because he has a jokey attitude that doesn't fit with the stalwart Cap. Still, it could have been far, far worse...
